Biography:

Chris is a filmmaker and environmentalist best known for directing the 2006 documentary “Who Killed the Electric Car?” (2006) and its sequel “Revenge of the Electric Car” (2011). His new film “Do You Trust this Computer” is slated for release in 2018. Chris served as Executive Producer on Bikes vs Cars (2015) as well as “Charge: Zero Emissions, Maximum Speed" (2011), William Gibson: No Maps for These Territories (1999), and the Ewan McGregor narrated racing doc Faster! (2003). In 2012, Chris co-produced the Counterspill online activism site to win 3 Webby Awards in the aftermath of the BP oil spill. New projects include a project on legacy nuclear power plants, and a possible third film in his electric car series. Chris has appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Democracy Now, and Science Friday on NPR. Chris serves on the board of Friends of the Earth in Washington, DC.
