Access Live Home Surveillance With Canary Home Security

Canary: A Live Feed Of Your Home

Canary gives customers the means to monitor their home wherever they are. In a sleek and simple design, Canary serves as a small in-home sensory device that streams live safety concerns at home to the customer’s mobile device. Aside from providing home surveillance, Canary preserves a homeowner’s privacy by allowing her to personally monitor her home at her discretion.

Service Areas

Instead of relying on a person sitting at a computer miles away to monitor surveillance footage, Canary is a self-running, WiFi compatible device that sits in the home and relays every moment to the homeowner whenever she wants. Once activated, Canary monitors the room and streams live updates to the customer. Using the mobile app, the customer can access visual, audio, and environmental alerts on her smartphone. Canary updates the customer directly on their mobile device of any possible risks at home.

Canary focuses on enabling the customer. With the homeowner being the first to know of the situation, the homeowner can respond quickly and accordingly, while also maintaining her privacy.

Because this security system utilizes only the Canary device and the mobile app, a contract or monitoring company is not required for home surveillance—the customer watches her own home on her own time.

Canary sits beautifully and inconspicuously anywhere in the home. The device comes in one small size and three colors—Classic White, Matte Black, and Silver. Embodied in a single unit, Canary provides the following:

  • HD Camera with Night Vision
  • Wide Angle Lens
  • Wi-Fi Compatibility
  • High Quality Microphone
  • Speaker
  • Siren
  • RGB LEDs
  • 3-Axis Accelerometer
  • Motion Detection (Passive Infrared)
  • Temperature Sensor
  • Humidity Sensor
  • Air Quality Sensor

The advanced sensory technology built into Canary allows the customer to monitor strange spikes in temperatures, unpredicted movements, strange noises, and even changes in air quality. And from the moment Canary is set up, Canary keeps log of home behavior, and establishes the home’s unique standard for normalcy. This ability to adapt to the environment helps Canary differentiate between an average moment at home, and a dangerous situation. Ultimately, Canary is customized to protect the customer’s home, not just any house.

While Canary does not currently offer any provider plans (read: no contracts!), that might change in the near future. Currently in its manufacturing stage, Canary schedules product releases for July 2014. The company offers pre-orders for Canary in one-unit quantities or bundles with added savings. However the company acknowledges that Canary is still under development.
