Low-income households disproportionately lag behind in terms of internet access and equipment, so we created this guide to affordable computers, virtual learning initiatives, and free Wi-Fi in Las Vegas.
Discounted Distance Learning Devices
- Clark County School District: Students enrolled in schools within the Clark County School District can receive a Chromebook free of charge. Make sure to read the Mobile Device Responsible Use Handbook and sign the agreement available here.
- ConnectHomeUSA: As part of a collaboration between the Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE and ConnectHomeUSA, a U.S. Department of Housing initiative, thousands of low-income families in Las Vegas have received tablets and other devices for free. Recipients may also be eligible for free internet plans and computer training.
